Impact Sessions

Re-engage your audience

But first, let's be honest for a moment.

You started in this business because you believed in the vision. And you know how much of an impact you have on people's lives. But over the years, you feel like you've drifted apart from your audience. Sure, they're occasionally showing up for your business and giving you money, but they're not as engaged as they were at the beginning. The honeymoon period is over.

You know you need to win your audience back.

Because without them, you're just an account on social media, a name in a directory, and a slowly dying business.

But if you could give them what they truly want...

  • Your audience would be an active part of your business, supporting you, showing up, volunteering, donating, and sharing.
  • Your marketing would be easier because your retention rates will be higher and your audience will actually want to hear from you.
  • You would move toward your bigger vision of success for your community, state, or country with the help of your audience.

Our custom consulting engagements combine the power of a small cohort (your team), two strategic design consultants (that’s us!), and design thinking strategies to help you answer the big question that's kept you stuck spinning your wheels.

Audience insight is incredibly important to your success, so we always conduct interviews with them, whether that is in-person during the workshop or beforehand.

Here's how it works:

We'll work together for a total of 4 weeks. The first week we'll hold our meetings in person. After the first week, we'll meet twice a week virtually.

What it will help you do:

  • Identify your true impact challenge. Often, it’s not what you think it is. We'll look over what you've already done and talk about where you want to go.
  • Generate new ideas for solutions (like dozens of them) with the help of your whole team and your community.
  • Evaluate the solutions. Gut checks, future thinking, validation, we do it all! This way we ensure everyone is onboard and feeling confident.
  • Create a clear path forward in the form of an actionable, group-assessed roadmap. We'll set you up for success and make sure you feel prepared to tackle this big project.

And you’ll do it all in a supportive environment that will spark innovative solutions.

Need the nitty gritty? We get it - here’s what each week looks like:

Week 1: Define and discover

We can't solve a challenge before we properly define it. That's why we start with gathering data and conducting interviews to help you see the actual shape of your situation, the impact it's having on your business, and the restrictions that may or may not be in your way.

Week 2: Ideation

Now we can get into the fun stuff! As a group we'll come up with dozens of ideas to help solve the challenge, moving quickly and thinking creatively. Then we'll post up the ideas vote on the ones that have the best chance of working. Then we will critique the top ten ideas before the team leader decides which 2-3 are best suited for evaluation or testing.

Week 3: Evaluation

We'll look at your top chosen ideas from all angles, figuring out what your solution needs to include to help you reach your goal. This is where the group's different experiences and knowledge bases help you think from a variety of viewpoints. This is also where you consider positive and negative outcomes that could come from pursuing a particular idea.

Week 4: Road mapping

It's great to have lots of ideas and plans, but if you don't map out your steps, you'll never actually start moving forward. As a group, we'll help each participant plan out a roadmap to reach your end goal. We'll organize our plans around effort levels to make sure you can actually complete your plan and reach your goal.

How we get the party started

Next steps:

  1. We love getting to know more about you and your business so we always start off with a discovery call to learn about your goals, where you are now, and where you’d like to be.
  2. Together we’ll come up with a workshop format to fit your specific needs, goals, and budget.
  3. Before the workshop, we’ll give you a list of easy tasks to make sure you and your team are ready to go and set up for success.
  4. On the big day(s), we’ll come to your small business to work directly with your team. Expect a full day of discussion, games, sticky notes, gold stars, and excitement.
  5. After the workshop, we’ll coordinate followup chats to ensure you stay on track to reach your goals.

FAQs

How much do the workshops cost?

We customize each workshop to fit your specific needs, goals, and budget. That being said, most of our workshops start at $3,000.

Are these workshops in-person?

Yes. There’s just something extra magical about being in the same place with your team. Plus, it means we get to bring out the sticky notes, markers, gold stars, and white boards.

We are based in Vancouver, WA, and love helping the businesses around us. However, we're also happy to get on a plane or train and will discuss this with you on our discovery call.

Is one of your workshops a good fit for my very specific problem?

We know everyone has unique challenges so please feel free to contact us to chat. We’re always honest about whether our workshop is the best fit. What we like to say is that we don't provide you with the answers to your problems. Instead, we give you the space to come up with the best answer to your problems with tools that you'll be able to use long after we leave.

Have a question we didn't answer above? Reach out on our contact page.

If you're ready to create genuine engagement with your audience so you can reach your goals, give us a call before you go through a seperation.
